Last late night while returning from the film-city, got surprised to see two young teens trying to convince a production house guard to let them wait there till next morning as they wish to meet the Bollywood star of which they didn’t even know how to pronounce the name. But that was not the idea to put this across. The idea was to bring the spotlight on coming generations desperation to get a big break in the beauty and makeup industry, whatsoever it takes, howsoever it happens, and so were desperate those two teens.

They wish to impress Deepika Padukone by the cosmetology steps they learned last week and were damn sure to become her beautician in their first interaction with her. What a dream! what’s the enthusiasm and what’s the confidence to make the world go the way they want. I get down and talked to them to learn they are bubbling with energy and just wish to get some break in the beauty and fashion industry. My few gentle questions left them in awe that no doubt they have the passion, they have the kill, but it’s just neither the passion nor the kill which works, rather it’s the right training to channelize this passion in the right direction that makes it a big hit. I give them my visiting card and asked to meet sometime.

The next day before I reached the office, I found them at our ‘Makeup Academy waiting at reception to meet me. And this is something I like about this generation, their determination to achieve what they want, their inspiration to work irrespective of the time. Time is not a barrier, the effort is not a constraint, practice is not boring and repetition is not monotonous. They are willing to do anything but should meet their dreams. They are ready to go against the tide, find their way and make it happen.

This inspired me to pen down a few tips for these budding minds to make their place and accelerate their pace to get a big break in this Beauty and Fashion burgeoning industry.
